Going to Dog Hill

More of Boozoo in action at his Dog Hill Residence in Lake Charles, LA on Labor Day, 1995. Top picture shows him with all the D.C. and Baltimore dancers who ventured down. Second frame shows Boozoo with the pretty women, Lois and Marjorie Lefkowitz, either giving or receiving dance lessons. Last frame shows Boozoo's scarecrow (made in his own image - you be the judge) out behind the ranch in the garden next to the chickens and farm animals. It's not hard to see where Boozoo gets the inspiration for his songs with all the barking and braying. Photographs by: Bob Sova and unknown

Zydeco Train

On the way to Richard's, we stopped for this picture on a steam locomotive in Opelousas. The steam engine operated on a sugar plantation at Donaldsonville, LA. P.S. Don't alert the authorities about the sign. Photograph by: Jennifer "Jen-Star" Kernegay

Dusk at JazzFest

Maybe not what you first thought, but see the #1 'Fest party machine, Dusk, in full JazzFest attire. Next to Dusk is Nancy (not sure about the tongue). New Orleans Jazz & Herritge Festival, 1995. Photograph by: Bob Sova

JazzFest Dancers

Not a great dance photo - we are just making a goofy leg pose. Funny thing is that right after picture, another group make a similar leg shot - luckily senseless goofing off is contagious at JazzFest.
